TIPS TO PROPERLY CARE FOR DAIRY PRODUCTS

ü When grocery shopping, place milk in your cart at the end of your shopping…right before checkout.

ü  Be sure to return home and refrigerate your dairy products immediately; don't leave it sitting in your car or on your kitchen counter.

ü  Each time you use the milk, return it to the refrigerator immediately.

ü  Store milk toward the back of the refrigerator where it's coolest, rather than in the refrigerator door.

ü  Keep your refrigerator between 32 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

ü  Don't leave the refrigerator door open for extended periods of time; this can raise the temperature in the refrigerator.

Milk can remain fresh for 7-10 days after the expiration date if it has been consistently refrigerated at 35-40°. So when you are done with the milk, put it back in the refrigerator.  For each 5° (F) rise in termperature the life span of milk is shortened by one day.
