Supervisor Boot Camp III (2 day workshop)

Boot camp III launches people new to managing into a higher dimension of leadership growth and development. With a continuing focus on motivating employees to high performance and high fulfillment, Boot Camp III emphasizes the skills and the practice of excellence as a manager, coach and facilitator to help employees achieve success. In a safe and supportive environment, BCIII participants will become proficient applying the workshop topics, practicing on real-life work issues.

You will:

  • Learn and “experience” the outstanding characteristics of leaders
  • Become proficient in coaching employees to success, and in developing a strong team
  • Practice the skills of leadership by facilitating a group meeting and teaching the problem solving process during class
  • Apply effective strategies for dealing with conflict
  • Write specific goals for improvement/change for immediate use in the workplace

Day 1: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Review Leadership Advantage 2 and Root Cause Analysis process
  • Practice the excellent characteristics of lean leadership
  • Create a coaching conversation and practice for proficiency
  • Learn and design strategies for building your own strong team
  • Address workplace conflict and methods for returning to productivity
  • Write specific and measureable goals
  • Dinner as a group

Day 2: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Learn and rehearse engaging employees in the process of creating improvement
  • Consider appropriate decision making processes
  • Learn excellent facilitation skills for leadership
  • Practice planning and facilitating a group meeting
  • Lead a continuous improvement teaching process
  • Develop a strategy for applying all of the Boot Camp III skills in your own workplace
